Assessments

Often parents and teachers notice things that concern them about children in their care. Assessments may lead to diagnosis for difficulties in areas such as:
-
Difficulties with paying attention, focus, organisation
-
Hyperactivity, restlessness, impulse control
-
Academic difficulties such as reading, maths, spelling, writing
-
Difficulty engaging in school

Once a decision is made to go ahead with an assessment, the following steps are taken:
-
Initial interview
-
Observation of the student
-
One on one administration of assessments
-
Online questionnaires
-
Written report
-
Recommendations
-
Feedback to parents

If you have any of these concerns, please contact Belinda so that a strategy can be developed that works for you and your child. This may be a diagnosis, a referral, or just some strategies to manage difficult times.
